Emma Katherine Neff Hanisch is a science communicator with interests in psychology, neuroscience, biology, astronomy, and environmental science. Originally from Maryland, she currently resides in Dunedin, New Zealand. Emma recently completed a Master's in Science Communication at the University of Otago in Dunedin, and her undergraduate degree was in psychology, from McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. Emma has also studied biology, neuroscience, and a wide variety of other subjects at the University of Maryland, Bangor University in Wales, and the shipboard education program Semester at Sea.
Emma has extensive experience with many different communication methods, including writing for a wide variety of audiences, interpretation and teaching, exhibition design, podcasting, filmmaking, social media outreach, and particularly photography. She loves traveling, and takes her camera wherever she goes - especially if there might be wildlife around!
